MIXED AGE CLASSES: Parents and children ages 0-8 join in ten weekly, 45-minute classes include songs, rhythmic rhymes, movement, and instrument play with a never-ending array of props and instruments! These activities are presented as informal, non-performance-oriented musical experiences--developmentally appropriate for children and easy for parents and caregivers--regardless of their own musical ability. We offer classes for Parents/Caregivers and Children on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday mornings and Wednesday and Monday afternoons.
BIG KIDS CLASSES: Children ages 5-8 join in ten weekly, 60-minute classes with or without their parents/care-givers. Age and developmentally appropriate activities and games help the Big Kids use their Basic Music Literacy skills in new and exciting ways! These activities are presented as informal, non-performance-oriented musical experiences, allowing older children to achieve greater musical learning and leadership. We offer BIG KIDS classes on Monday and Wednesday afternoons.
BABIES CLASSES: A specially designed Music Together® class for newborns through eight-months with adults. This offering just for infants is a one-semester introduction to Music Together, after which the family enrolls in mixed-age classes. The music activities and materials are especially designed for parents who want to learn as much as possible about music development in infants. The music in this collection is compiled from other Music Together collections and is especially appropriate for infants who are not yet mobile. PRESCHOOL CLASSES: Local Montessori schools and Preschools offer Music Together classes in their facilities for 24-30 weeks each school year. Developmentally appropriate activities and games help children ages 3-6 acheice Basic Music Literacy and then use those skills in new and exciting ways! These activities are presented as informal, non-performance-oriented musical experiences, allowing older children to achieve greater musical learning in cooperation with others.
COST: The tuition for families enrolling in parent-child classes, Big Kid classes, and Babies classes includes two CD's and a Songbook to take home. These tools help support musical learning at home. Tuition rates vary slightly depending on location, ranging from $95.00 to $125.00. Our sibling discount allows siblings to attend classes for an additional cost of only $20--that means a cost of $6 per child per class!! A portion of the tuition fee ($45) is due at the time of registration and the remainder is due at the first class.
